Col. Jordan Palmer on being a gay teenager in Kentucky

When it sunk in that being gay could get you beat or put on the street, I realized that I had to listen to MY voice, MY soul. Today, it saddens me that too many people listen to the noise of the world, instead of themselves. I broke every rule and I'm proud of it because I did it in a positive manner, with no ill will for anyone. ❤️ I never bothered with who hated me as a result, even when that person turned out to be my Dad. 🤷‍♂️ I purged myself of what others thought of me when I was a child. The Creator was with me the entire time. ✝️ It brings tears to my eyes when I see people hung up on what others think of them. 😢
No one can make you "feel" something about yourself unless you give them that power. No one can stop you except you. 😘 No matter what happens, keep going.

Jordan Palmer gave an update on his health status; he is the most gracious person I have ever known

Yesterday, Jordan Palmer gave an update on his health status, he currently remains Stage IV(b):

Later today I finish #radiation. Still on the new #cancer pills. 💊 Tuesday I have a PET Scan to see what other #radiation and treatments I need or if additional treatment (in their opinion, if I don't agree, I find another doctor, I'm on my 7th one) will be beneficial. 🤒 🤕

Earlier this week I thought I would die, I had these huge #bumps on my #forehead and I got very #sick. 🤢 So my doctor says, you have a massive sinus infection and that's what those bumps are on your forehead and another reason why you feel so bad. 😖 I had no clue this was even possible!

On June 09, 2017, Jordan Palmer updated with:

I've fallen 🤕 more times that I can count because my right leg is so weak from the #cancer treatments. I've fallen down the stairs at home twice and hurt my back but I'm not complaining. My doctors, 🏥 even at Cancer Treatment Centers of America say that my mobility loss is permanent. I'll have a cane. I wish my friend Matthew Vanderpool was here with me. He would never leave my side and I miss him so much. 🏳️‍🌈 Kentucky Equality Federation keeps me busy. I would suggest following him on Facebook or Twitter.

MY THOUGHTS AS MODERATOR / DIRECTOR: Knowing Jordan Palmer and working with him is such an honor. He is the most gracious person I have ever known. I will continue to volunteer and continue to work as my time permits and pray for a miracle for him.

My best to everyone. - Damon 💓
